Reaction to measured pressure

Patients respond significantly differently to pressure adjustment. APAP mode has two pressure adjustment options for effective treatment and respiratory comfort. In addition, pressure increases during closed central events are avoided.

SoftPAP respiratory assistance

For a comfortable exhalation during therapy, the pressure in CPAP and APAP mode is lowered at the beginning of exhalation and raised to the therapeutic pressure in time for the start of the inhalation phase to make exhalation as easy as possible and effectively prevent events.

Accurate event detection

Forced Oscillation Technique (FOT/VOHF) in modes without a safety frequency and Forced Breath Technology (FBT/forced breathing technique) in modes with a safety frequency enable safe and precise differentiation between central and obstructive apneas. Not only are apneas and hypopneas represented in a differentiated manner, but other events such as Cheyne-Stokes respiration, flow limitations, snoring and RERA events are also reliably detected.

Smart sensorless humidification

When using the prismaAQUA humidifier, the smartAQUAcontrol system can be optionally activated: for a rapid warming sensation of the airflow at the beginning of therapy and to ensure humidifier performance in phases with increased leakage. The optional prismaAQUA breathing gas humidifier can also be used with a tube heater.

Sleep comfortably - softSTART

To make it easier to fall asleep and gradually get used to the breathing pressure during the sleep onset phase, the softSTART function can be activated. It ensures a slow increase in pressure over a set period of time up to the therapeutic pressure. This function is particularly suitable for patients who find high pressure unpleasant while awake and cannot fall asleep.

Modern connectivity

Compatible and future-proof. Thanks to various interfaces such as SD, PSG, LAN, and external modem, there are various options for data transmission. Our software solutions (e.g., prismaTS, prisma APP, and prisma CLOUD) are therefore available for simple, flexible, and secure therapy support.
